Moonbeam’s client is open source and can be found on their github repository.

Sudo pallet

The Sudo pallet has been removed from the Moonbeam runtime.

Collators

Moonbeam allows for any collator with enough stake and nominations to join the decentralized collator set.

Council

The Moonbeam council is appointed by the Moonbeam Foundation and consists of a majority controlled by the Moonbeam Foundation. While they claim there is an application process, there have been no additions to the council since this announcement in October 2022.
